Hallo,please help me with installation adobe air app on my Samsung galaxy tab 3 10.1 android version 4.2.2

I am unable to install the update to Adobe Air.  I have run as Administrator but still doesn't work.  I do not get an Error #--just states that an error occurred and to contact my Administrator.  I am the Administrator.  I have Windows 8.  Is that an issue/problem?

After installing Adobe AIR 3.7 on a new computer with Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit and try to use applications that need this program, I get a warning window with this message: This application requires a version of Adobe AIR which can not be found. Download the latest version of runtime at http:// .......

When trying to uninstall it stops me with the same message described above. I managed to uninstall it by using a specific software to uninstallations, which it does, but to re-install the same thing happens. Also try it with AIR 2.6. Can anyone help me with this problem?

Any insights as to how to get it installed?

We just built an app based on Adobe Air geared at education clients (which don't own full rights on their computer). We are running through a lot of complains regarding the installation process: typical problems involved the request of admin rights to install the platform. A message requiring the user to have admin rights shows up even when the operator has admin rights. Other problems happen when the Adobe Air is offering an update and block the access to the app.

Is there any recommendations about the best way to handle that installation problem in schools computer?

I am trying to reinstall a Bamboo tablet from Wacom because my computer had a virus issue, but the Bamboo Dock application won't install. An error box says:

If you have installed Bamboo Dock before, please make sure that it is properly removed from your Applications folder and from the Trash and try again.

I have Adobe CS5 Production Premium installed on my computer and Adobe AIR installed with that program. Would it mess with the creative suite if I uninstalled Adobe AIR to try to get the Bamboo Dock to work?

I, too, am having problems downloading air onto my galaxy tab 3 (error 24). Unfortunately,  I need it to run the apps for therapy for my daughter's severe dyslexia.  Do we have any idea how long it will take to fix the problem?

I'm getting the error trying to install Muse CC on Windows.

Using Adobe Cleaner Tool, as in other posts people recommend, doesn't help as Muse doesn't appear on the list of applications to remove (as it fails to install in the first place).

I think I know where the problem may be. I can't uninstall Adobe AIR and nothing works...

Trying to uninstall it through Control Panel doesn't work and neither does using Microsoft's FixIt tool...

I just purchased my MacBook Pro and trying to install Adobe Air to run Market Samurai. Each time I try to install it tells me there was an error and to ask my Administrator. Very frustrating. I called Adobe support and tried to pay $39 to get the on phone support but the entire process took 15 minutes before they even set up my account. I opted not to go that route.

I have Adobe CS2 on my machine and not sure if that is conflicting but I need to get this installed today.

I've literally read through every discussion about issues with installing Adobe AIR and have tried all the suggestions and still nothing seems to work for me. I am running a iMac with OS X 10.6.8. The only version of Adobe AIR I can get to install is 1.5.3.

The message I'm getting is:

"An error occurred while installing Adobe AIR. Installation may not be allowed by your administrator. Please contact your administrator."

I'm not a software developer; do I need to keep ATR installed on my computer.

We have an internal AIR app, there were some small changes made yesterday so the version number was increased and the application was packaged and uploaded to the server with an updated config XML on the server to match the new version number. Nothing out of the ordinary, and no frameworks were changed. When you launch the old version of the app you get the prompt to update, cool, you click Download Now and get the following

If you point your browser to the URL in the update config xml on the server it downloads the AIR file, then you double click it and it replaces the old version successfully. So it just doesn't work via the ApplicationUpdater UI. It works manually. Why?

We are about to deploy Adobe AIR Runtime 2.5 in our organization.

To do this we use the following command line

AdobeAIRInstaller.exe -silent -eulaAccepted

This works great. But I am not sure how to disable the automatic updates.

When reading the Adobe AIR configuration guide, http://help.adobe.com/en_US/air/admin/WS485a42d56cd1964167ea49bd124ef1 7d52a-7ff5.html it says I should create the registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Adobe\AIR\UpdateDisabled and set it to 1.

But when I run the AIR SettingsManager application after I set this registry key it says that automatic updates are enabled.

And if I choose to disable automatic updates from the tool it creates the file %APPDATA%\Adobe\AIR\updateDisabled.

How can I make sure that automatic updates are disabled for all users on all the computers we deploy Adobe AIR Runtime 2.5 to?

Since we are doing an enterprise deployment it is not really an option to ask each and every user to run AIR SettingsManager every time they logon to a new computer

We are in the middle of rolling out a new Adobe AIR-based educational application. This application is targeted in large part at educational organizations. In these scenarios, an automated deployment of both the AIR runtime and the AIR application is a requirement. For most of these organizations, solutions like SMS, SMCC and Tivoli are far too expensive. Many of them rely on Group Policy based rollouts instead. Unfortunately, the enterprise deployment guidance provided by Adobe states that GPO is not supported, yet provides no alternative. This has put the burden on us as an ISV to work together with client systems administrators to find an alternative solution. Currently we find we have to tell administrators to resort to manual scripting in these cases, which is of course far from optimal.

In the course of our research, we stumbled on a lot of blogs, forums,  etc discussing this issue. It would seem that the majority of  small-to-middle scale organizations cannot afford a solution like SMS,  SMCC and Tivoli, so there is a real need for a deployment solution compatible with the needs of these clients.

The enterprise deployment guidance document asks us to contact an email address for information about when GPO support will be available. But as I think this is a topic of general interest, I am posting this on the forum instead. We would like to know what Adobe's plans in this direction are, and if any advice is available.

We have invested a lot in switching to Adobe AIR for this application, and so far I must say it has generally been a great experience. I am hoping that these details can be resolved quickly as well, so that the barrier to adoption is lowered further

I have been having trouble with Adobe Air for a while now. I had Adobe Air installed for TweetDeck, but in the past couple months, every time I tried to update TweetDeck, I get the error, "Installation may not be allowed by your administrator. Please contact your administrator." Then I tried uninstalling Adobe Air through Add/Remove programs in Control Panel and that did not work. I tried uninstalling through Command Line, but I kept getting a fail message. Finally, I removed it manually by removing the Adobe Air folder from my Common Files and then was able to remove Adobe Air from Add/Remove Programs. Now I am trying to reinstall Adobe Air 2.0 and I am getting the same error message. "An error occurred while installing Adobe AIR. Installation may not be allowed by your administrator. Please contact your administrator." Your Support page says to use Windows Installer Cleanup Utility but it is no longer available. Please help.

Also, tried reinistalling latest version of Adobe AIR but a message appears saying that the latest version of Adobe AIR is already installed, even though I thought I had unistalled it with the help of Microsoft Fix it (i.e. it no longer appeared in the least of programs installed on the computer).

I am trying to install Zinio 4 (Adobe Air app) on my new Mac but keep getting message " The application could not be installed because the installer file is damaged. Try obtaining a new installer file from the application author. " ...Adobe Air installs fine, just the Zinio part has error

I contacted Zinio, they seem to think its an Adobe issue..please help.

I'm getting the error trying to install Muse CC on Windows.

Using Adobe Cleaner Tool, as in other posts people recommend, doesn't help as Muse doesn't appear on the list of applications to remove (as it fails to install in the first place).

I think I know where the problem may be. I can't uninstall Adobe AIR and nothing works...

Trying to uninstall it through Control Panel doesn't work and neither does using Microsoft's FixIt tool...

Help needed.

I am trying to install the air application (native exe) in C:\Program Files  using silent install, below is the command that I am using.. (have tried with the path in quotes as well)

MyApp.exe -silent -location C:\Program Files

It doesn't seem to work with space in the folder names in the path.

It works if I just give C:\  or D:\  or D:\someFolder   ,

Any ideas of how to get this working ?
