Hi, i have found some related questions to mine however no answers to them. Will try again. We have some installations of Adobe AIR, in our company we are having both developers as well as regular computer users. Having downloaded runtimes are we violating terms of license anyhow? From some chat i was convinced that only AIR SDK is paid in terms of commercial usage. How is it?
AIR vs AIR SDK licensing
App with just Black Screen
I am trying to run this application on my Mac: http://www.control4.com/software/control4-app-pcmac/latest
It tries to launch but just hangs with a black screen. Previous versions ran fine...but then something happened. After a version upgrade it at first would continually prompt me to "Allow keychain access for passwords" or something...in trying to follow their instruction about deleting some portion of my keychain related to Adobe.APS...I messed up and deleted my entire keychain. So all passwords gone and a bunch of other headaches!! Ugh. But anyway, now the errors have gone away but the app doesn't run at all...just goes to a Control4 for PC-Mac window with nothing but black.
Have tried uninstalling Adobe Air, Adobe Flash and reinstalling. Uninstalling and reinstalling MyHome PC. No luck!
The developer tells me to delete the folder found here:
Library/ Application Support/Adobe/Air/ELS/MyHome PC
but I do not have that directory. When I go to Library/Application Support/Adobe/AIR
the only sub-directory I have is Updater. There is no ELS
These are my versions:
Adobe Air Version: 21.0.0.176
Adobe Flash Version: 21.0.0.197
Control4 for PC-Mac V. 2.8.1.514313-res
Mac OS X Yosemite 10.10.5
Anyone willing to give this a go and see if they can figure out something / anything that might work for me?? Totally stumped and none too happy!
Thank you very much.

How can I download Adobe Air withot going through the Cloud advertisement webiste?
How can I download Adobe Air withot going through the Cloud advertisement webiste?
Adobe AIR- "This application requires a version of adobe AIR which cannot be found.."
My error message reads:
"This application requires a version of Adobe AIR which cannot be found. Please download the latest version at http://www.adobe.com/go/getair or contact the application author for the updated version."
Already tried uninstalling and reinstalling (and rebooting and reinstalling again).
Already went through Microsoft Fix It (Three separate attempts).
There does not seem to be any difficulty during the actual install; just when a program needs to access/use it.
Everything worked fine up until about 2 weeks ago.
I have no idea where to find the actual codes in the computer system, but PASS requires Adobe Air to function, and since AIR isn't working, I can't access or upload any of my client galleries. So frustrated and feeling stuck! Help please!
Install and Uninstall Failures - best solution?
In addition to other (older 5.5) Adobe products, I have installed Air a while back on my Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 64 bitOS
Recently I had to update it and for some reason, after that, problems occurred with a Pandora desktop app. I uninstalled the app and checked the version of AIR. The version I have is version 1.
Here's what I did
1)SO I updated and it didnt give any error.
2)The version still looks like 1.
3)So I tried to uninstall using control panel.
I get the message:
"The applicatoin requires a version of Adobe AIR which can not be found. Please download the latest version from http://www.adobe.com/go/getair, or contact the application author for an updated version."
So I try to install - goto step 1
LOOP with no solution
So I tried using the -uninstall option. No Luck.
I've read and have done everything (I believe) that has been suggested.
Are there steps to go into the registry and get rid of this loop?
I really need to get the latest, greatest and feel that starting without ANY AIR would be the best. However it does not uninstall.
Information stored in "Adobe.APS" in your keychain message
Hi all,
I've developed an application using Adobe AIR 1.5.3 and am looking into upgrading to AIR 2.0. When I install the AIR 2.0 runtime and try to upgrade an existing AIR 1.5.3 application to a new AIR 2.0 application I get the following message when the application starts:
<AppName> wants to use your confidential information stored in "Adobe.APS" in your keychain.
One of the first things that the application tries to do when it starts is access encrypted local storage (I'm assuming that this is where this message is coming from).
Is there any way to avoid this message when upgrading to AIR 2.0?
Thanks
Sean
Adobe AIR won't install - Windows 7 Ultimate x64
"Sorry, an error has occurred.
An error occurred while installing Adobe AIR. Installation may not be allowed by your administrator. Please contact your administrator."
Well, I asked myself and verified that I am allowed to install any programs I wish to at will.
I even toyed with adding extra permissions for the .exe and shortcut [see below], to no avail.
I also checked your Adobe AIR installation troubleshooter section before posting. Unfortunately, none of the solutions 100% applied to my circumstances or OS, yet I tried a few anyway and had it confirmed by a Windows dialogue that I need not have bothered as it assured me that they weren't applicable in my case.
I found another thread like mine where somebody suggested creating a shortcut with an additional -uninstall parameter added to the .exe path. It didn't work.
I used Microsoft's Installation Cleanup Utility and that didn't work to "un-confuse" the installer either.
Do you have any more suggestions?
Adobe AIR came with the HTC Sync program for my phone, which appears to have dependencies on it where it won't completely work without it.
Thanks in advance for any input.
ps. I created a new thread because I couldn't find the "reply" button on a similarly unresolved thread regarding Adobe AIR installation issues on Windows 7.
i need to downgrade Adobe Air
Hey Guys,
I am trying to downgrade to version 2.7.1 or earlier of Adobe Air (from 3.0) and I always get the error message:
"This version of Adobe Air cannot be installed because a more recent version is installed on your system"
After removing the app from Control Panel and deleting all relevant Adobe Air programs, I am still unable to install the 2.7.1 version. I attempted to remove all components of Air using
http://support.microsoft.com/mats/Program_Install_and_Uninstall/en-us
I got this from another Adobe's employee support post
and also
The Microsoft cleanup Utility --- http://download.youneedabudget.com/microsoft/msicuu2.exe
No matter what, i can never downgrade.
Any help please?

Problem with apps on iPhone IOS 9.0.2
Hi
I have a number of apps that have run perfectly on the iPhone to date.
I just updated to IOS 9.0.2 and now they open to a black screen. If I double tap
the home button it shows as a pane with a mini icon and the app name so it would
seem to be running.
Has anyone else come across a similar problem and found a fix?
Cheers
Richard
Adobe Air will not install - How to fix problem?
I attempted to install version 20.0.0.204 over ver 19.0.0.190 and get error message saying Administrator permission is needed. But I have Administrator privileges! Examining log file it appears to indicate that it is trying to install in Windows 8. I have Windows 7. I had attempted to install Windows 8 previously, but had to roll back to Windows 7 (64 bit), as my HP printer and Thinkpad docking station did not work in Windows 8. The log file is:

Re: AIR installation fails; branched from Adobe Reader discussion
Success, thank you. Question answered.
Now do you have solution for installing AIR? I get an error message saying I don’t have administrative permission. This is a home PC and on the only account on this PC is mine. I have administrative rights. I checked again today after I couldn’t install AIR. Thank you.

"Installation of this application is damaged"
When I try to run a program that uses AIR I get a window that says "The installation of this application is damaged. Try re-installing or contact the publisher for assistance."
I have tried uninstalling and re-installing many different versions including the most recent and I still get this message.
I have Windows 7 OS
Can this problem be fixed?
Extremely long startup time
We are developing a software suite called Omnitapps in Adobe AIR (sdk 4.5.1 build as 2.6) in FDT 4.5
As we have talked about our corrupted/damaged installers in another post of ours, we also have another issue caused by the amount of content that gets installed.
Firstly the Installer takes extremely long to startup (show installation popup) depending on the systems performance/processes running this can vary from 1 - 5 minutes.
Secondly, after installation has been completed, it takes about the same amount of time for the application to start because of the amount of content installed in the program files folder.
At the moment we solved it by moving all unnecessary files to the My Documents folder on first startup, this speeds up the startup from our software to only a few seconds compared to a few minutes. However its odd that Adobe AIR tries to load every file included in the installer before continuing.
Is this normal?
installation problem: admin rights required
We just built an app based on Adobe Air geared at education clients (which don't own full rights on their computer). We are running through a lot of complains regarding the installation process: typical problems involved the request of admin rights to install the platform. A message requiring the user to have admin rights shows up even when the operator has admin rights. Other problems happen when the Adobe Air is offering an update and block the access to the app.
Is there any recommendations about the best way to handle that installation problem in schools computer?

Other notes that might be of use is that I have tried to uninstall Adobe AIR with a similar error message.
I am hoping someone can provide some insight on how to resolve this situation.
